Hotel Friedheim

We stayed in the hotel's modern new section and had our own terrace. The older part has a beautiful style, while the newer part includes the restaurant and a large terrace. The peaceful surroundings, lake view and excellent food made the stay feel worth far more than three stars. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our dog enjoyed the place too. It's a special, quiet spot, with Weggis a ten-minute walk away and boats that can take you everywhere. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay, and we'll be back. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable, and the service is the friendliest. Huge thanks to Tanja and Hugo! Great food, a good wine list, and the best view in Weggis for dining. A hidden gem.

We only ate at the restaurant, we didn't stay at the hotel. The October menu made great use of seasonal ingredients, including excellent deer, guinea fowl, porcini and chestnuts. Everything was very well executed, and the service was friendly and attentive. The wine by the glass suggestions were very good too. Highly recommended.

The friendly, helpful male servers were a bright spot, but problems with the room and cleanliness overshadowed them during our three nights at Hotel Friedheim. We were charged for the kids, yet the sofa bed had no extra pillows or blankets, making sleeping disorganized and uncomfortable. There was also a lot of dust on the wood floors, even though we were in the new part of the hotel. The loft apartment seemed overpriced for its amenities, and because it's in a remote location we needed a car for most activities beyond the nearby lake. We were also surprised by a 10 franc charge for tap water. Breakfast didn't offer much variety, and once our suite was missing some food items.
