For several nights in Zurich, I needed somewhere within walking distance of both the train station and university, and this place was conveniently close to the station. It was also away from heavy traffic and the main tramways. There was some traffic noise from Stampfenbachstrasse, but the road wasn't busy and I slept well. My single room was just the right size, with a warm, comfortable bed, a functional bathroom, plenty of storage, and even a mini-fridge. Breakfast came as vouchers for the neighbouring cafe, with a perfectly adequate choice of eggs, bread, jam, and tea. Staff were welcoming and offered restaurant and sightseeing advice, and reception had endless complimentary apples. It's a good little place for a comfortable, convenient, relatively affordable short stay in Zurich.

After staying at Hotel Arlette more than 25 years ago, I came back recently for three nights and was delighted by how little has changed. The room was immaculately clean, with high-quality sheets and towels, and everything worked well. There's a lift, umbrellas and power adaptors are available, and getting in after hours is easy. Jakob at the front desk was so helpful, and the service was still excellent. The location is unbeatable, just a 10-minute walk from the railway station. Thank you for the lovely stay.

The staff were friendly, and the old-fashioned room was clean. But the windows are so poor that road noise comes through as if they're open. I couldn't sleep. Can't believe I paid CHF250 for this.

The old-fashioned feel is part of the charm here, and everything was incredibly clean. My room was small, but I loved its vintage style. Right in the heart of Zürich, too, so the location is hard to beat. It has that family-run, step-back-in-time feel.

The central spot was surprisingly calm, which made me feel comfortable staying here on my own. My room was clean and had the amenities listed on the website. Staff were kind and helpful, including letting me check in early and finding a phone adapter when I needed one. Those little things really matter. Even after the receptionist left for the night, I could reach someone on the intercom if I needed help. A great place for a one-night stay.
