Leonardo Boutique Hotel Rigihof Zurich

We weren’t told about the work happening at the hotel. Drilling and banging were so loud and could be felt in the room, enough to give you a headache. There was dust, poor air, and dirty laundry trolleys left around. Guest health and safety didn’t seem to be a concern. The bed was shocking: two single mattresses pushed together with separate sheets. As a couple, you’re left crammed onto one side, sleeping apart, or waking up on the frame as a mattress slides off. The light fitting wasn’t attached to the wall, the sockets moved in the wall, and the bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut. I could go on, but you get the picture.

The helpful, supportive staff and delicious food in the room were real pluses. The room also had everything I needed, from a kettle to a bathrobe. The location and value for money are amazing for Zurich, though the condition of my room needs improvement. Once the rooms have been renovated, I’ll recommend Leonardo Boutique Hotel to friends and mates. My stay there was magnificent.

The room was so cute, clean, and came with different toiletries, which actually amazed me. The team were lovely, welcoming, and polite. Thank you, we’ll visit again.

The hotel was clean, the bed was good, and there was a shower and bathrobe. It’s 10 minutes by tram from the train station and old town, with a supermarket, pub, bakery, and coffee shops nearby. I had a couple of issues with the internet and the late evening staff, but the rest of the personnel were pleasant.
