The rooms are clean, with lovely artwork, and the handmade tables and chairs give the place a lot of character. The owner is warm and humble, and was always glad to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It’s a pretty good deal for the price. The B&B belongs to an artistic owner and sits in an interesting part of Zurich. It’s about a 15-minute walk into the city, which was fine for us. Breakfast was good too.

There’s a kitchen for guests who want to cook for themselves, and breakfast has a friendly, personal feel, with guests and staff mixing together. The Wi-Fi was excellent and protected by a password, which I appreciated. I was on the first floor, though, and since the connection comes from the restaurant below, it may get weaker higher up. The restaurant can be noisy in the evening, but I slept without any trouble. The hotel is a short bus ride from the main station, so it works reasonably well for an overnight stop during a train journey through Zurich. Other places may be easier if you have a lot of luggage.

The owner is caring and welcoming, and had lots of useful suggestions. Breakfast was great, and transport connections were very good. The area is quite international and can get noisy, especially at night. For Zurich, where prices are high, I thought the stay was affordable.

The owner can be very capricious and condescending, and at times quite rude if you do something wrong. On the plus side, she can give information about places to visit and getting around the city. The location is near Zurich HB station, Bahnhofstrass, Burkiplatz and the old town. Our room, bathroom and kitchen were spacious and clean, and the rooms didn’t get hot in July. Breakfast was included.

I only wish we’d stayed longer. The breakfast was really good and had a homemade feel, and the owner was such a sweet, lovely person. This was honestly the best hotel of my vacation. I don’t have anything bad to say about the place.
