Presidental Suite Apartment by Livingdowntown

Unless you're unable to afford another option, I wouldn't recommend this property. We were badly let down. Check-in was through a kiosk that asked for a payment I assume was taxes, but there was no explanation or breakdown. The process was slow and gave us one key card per room. The kiosk wouldn't issue extra keys. At first the apartment doors wouldn't open with our cards, so we called the help line, which luckily answered. About five minutes later the keys started working, but nobody came to help. The rooms were large, but that's the best I can say. Furniture was worn out, the beds felt like cardboard, and the tables were unstable and damaged, as if they might fall apart. Only one of our three rooms had a working washing machine, and we had to buy detergent. Just two rooms had working fridges. Some had dish soap and hand soap, others had none; some had coffee, others didn't. Signs threatened extra charges of 65 CHF per hour if we didn't tidy up and run the dishes, but the rooms hadn't been properly cleaned when we checked in. The showers and bathrooms were dirty, and the dishwashers held a mix of clean and dirty dishes that clearly hadn't been run or emptied since the previous checkout. Calls and emails got us no extra keys, despite four people in each room. We were just told to use the kiosk, which didn't work. On Sunday, one room lost its key while out. We called the property and emergency numbers and emailed several times, but heard nothing back. If that room hadn't been on the first floor, we'd have been stuck outside. We managed to get in through a back window so they could move their belongings to another room, then they had to sleep on other rooms' couches and floors for the last night. The property still hadn't responded by checkout, despite all our calls and emails. If you only need one key and everything goes smoothly, it might be worth considering. Otherwise expect broken furniture, missing supplies, and terrible beds. Our low-quality stay became a nightmare, only avoided because the room was on the first floor and we could get in when the property was unreachable.
