Greulich Design & Boutique Hotel

I made a genuine technical mistake on my booking and contacted the hotel within five minutes to fix it. They still wouldn’t let me change the date. There was no consideration at all for an error reported just moments after booking. Very disappointing customer service and flexibility.

The hotel was neat and clean, and there’s a lively Thai / Asian restaurant in the building. We checked in and out outside staff working hours, so we didn’t meet hotel staff, but the email instructions for the self-service process were clear and arrived promptly. Restaurant staff were around to guide us as well. Our room had no AC or permanent fan, but the hotel provided a pedestal fan that was enough for the mid-July weather we had. An exhaust fan for ventilation would be a good addition, especially given the room and bathing area layout.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in. It’s in an ideal spot, with train and tram connections just a stone’s throw away, and shops and places to eat a short walk from the door. I can’t fault it and we’ll definitely come back.

Thanks to the instructions, getting into the hotel was easy even when reception was closed. Our room was tidy and comfortable, and its position in the courtyard made it surprisingly quiet. Breakfast is easy to recommend, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable.
