Hotel Alden Splügenschloss - Leonardo Ltd Edition

The lakeside park was just a block away, which worked perfectly for us with two young kids. We also enjoyed the hotel's quiet spot a little outside the main part of town, along with its lovely restaurant and bar and its nice little library. The hotel itself was beautiful. All the staff made us feel welcome. Yosef checked us in, Kaltrina and Xitlali were so kind to the kids, and Rolf and Michael gave excellent service in the bar and restaurant. We can't wait to return.

Breakfast was the highlight each morning of our three-day stay. The setting was lovely, and there was a buffet of breads and delicacies as well as hot dishes to order. Huge thanks to Mr. Rolf for looking after our group of three so attentively, especially with our elderly mother's food restrictions and my sister's and my own preferences. The hospitality throughout the hotel was subtle but made clear that our comfort mattered, while still feeling welcoming and respectful. On a drizzly Zurich evening we arrived and immediately loved the understated lobby and the hotel's elegant look. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, and thank you Alden Hotel for upgrading us from a triple deluxe room to a master suite. We hope to stay here again.

The suite was clean, roomy, and practical, with one bedroom and one and a half bathrooms. The hotel is centrally located, with easy access to the city's must-see spots. From the start to the end of our stay, we felt treated like family. Xitlali, Mrs. Gonzalez, Milo and Kactrina greeted us warmly, and whenever we saw staff they acknowledged us and offered help. They even handed us water bottles before we went out and suggested restaurants and places to visit. Reception was outstanding, and the staff made the stay memorable. Thank you for such a fantastic time.

The location is lovely and quiet, with the lakefront just about 100m away for a morning walk. We booked because of the positive reviews, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Xilalti greeted us by name with a delicious welcome drink and took care of anything we needed, including arranging our dinner reservation. Our very large suite had high ceilings, elegant furniture, and a super comfortable bed. I'd asked for a down pillow, and it was waiting for me. The marble bathroom was great, with generous towels and lovely toiletries. I highly recommend it and will make it my go-to Zurich hotel.
