Hotel Alexander

The rooms were quiet enough for a good rest after exploring, and nicely soundproofed. Just be aware that construction gets extremely loud on weekdays, including when we checked in on Friday. We were lucky to be there over the weekend, when it was very quiet. For an adventurous couple, it's a great place, with food and shopping all around, right in the old town and within walking distance of the new town. Looks-wise, it felt equivalent to a 2-star hotel in the US, but we absolutely loved staying here and would come back.

We spent three nights here, and it was a perfect base in Zurich, with an easy short walk to the trains and shopping. The room was well thought out for travellers, with a hair dryer, zoom mirror, mini-bar drinks, a well-equipped bathroom, and a warm, comfortable bed. The breakfast room was a treat. Everyone was friendly, from the front desk support to the cleaners, and I couldn't fault the place. Thank you!

Right in the middle of town, with easy access to everywhere, and staff who are incredibly attentive and ready to help with any question. I recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again.

The one good part was the receptionist, who was kind, professional, and helped us find another hotel in the region. I appreciate her support. The rest of the stay was unbearable and stressful: our room had bed bugs, we were bitten, and found multiple bugs in the bed. That's a serious hygiene and health concern, and completely unacceptable for a hotel, especially at the price we paid. It points to a major lack of cleanliness and proper pest control. I strongly advise other travelers to avoid this hotel.
