The houses are in the middle of the forest, in a very quiet area closed to cars. They’re pleasant, set up for families, and well equipped, though you shouldn’t expect a top standard. There’s a viewpoint about a 10minutes walk away. To park in front of a house, you need a special permit from the local authorities. The owner can explain how to get one. Otherwise, you can walk from the nearest parking, which takes about 1hour, or take a train that runs every 30minutes. The station is very close to the guest houses, and the ride is 2 stops.

A beautiful spot high above Zurich, surrounded by nature. The owner is a very nice lady. I’d recommend I'm sonnenbühl to anyone wanting to stay close to nature.

A nice, peaceful place.

The natural pond and clean barbecue spot are nice, and the big tent out front, with all the carpets, seems well suited to a summer event. The cottage itself is basic but has what you need for a cozy get-together. Just bring a flashlight since there’s no outdoor lighting. There’s a B&B right next door, so keep the music and noise down, be considerate, or maybe invite them in. I’m not sure what it costs.

It’s a shame, because the location could be great. The place was poorly looked after and felt dingy inside. We went for a wedding, but they hadn’t even filled the pool. I wouldn’t recommend the house catering either.
