The Dolder Grand

The city views were incredible, and the rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable. We loved the spa, and the food was excellent too. The service was consistently great. Easily the best hotel we've stayed in, it felt like a total dream!

This place has meant a lot to me for years. We've celebrated so many special occasions here, and our latest visit felt especially meaningful: we came for my husband's birthday with our 6 months old baby. I was so happy with everything, from the atmosphere and location to the food and staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and thoughtful. A special thank you to Muhammed Turkmen, who noticed every detail and was welcoming, kind, and truly understood what world class service means. He and the team did all they could to make us happy. One of the best hotels in the world, and I'll always be glad to come back.

I live nearby now and still visit the Dolder regularly. You don't even need to be staying there for it to be worth a visit. For me, it's a place shaped by real passion, not just an elite hotel. My cab driver once called it a castle, and I can see why. Urs Schwarzenbach really created something beautiful for the city. Even during one jetlagged, sleepless night, wandering around was entertaining, and a staff member kindly showed me around and shared pictures of the hotel's construction. That was a mindblowing effort. There are other strong hotels in Zurich, and Baur au Lac is definitely worth staying at too, but the Dolder is my favorite here and among my favorites anywhere. The location is beautiful, the service excellent, and the spa outstanding. As far as I recall, it was designed by the person who designed the German Bundestag. I think I spotted an original Salvador Dali, too. There's great golfing, and even the Piega loudspeakers and the Currywurst in the bar are memorable. One more detail: I once needed to list everywhere I'd stayed over the previous five years for a security clearance. When I called, Dolder wouldn't even acknowledge that I existed. They're highly discreet and protect clients' privacy, but very helpful once you've properly authenticated yourself. Another sign of their excellence. I definitely recommend it.

We spent our wedding at the Dolder Grand over the Christmas holidays, and the staff went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. The room and service were wonderful, and they made our special day feel even more special. Thank you for such a magical stay. We can't recommend them enough!
