The location was great, close to many places in the city, and both our room and the external bathrooms were clean. It wasn’t cheap, but what accommodation in Zürich is? We felt we got what we paid for. Our window faced a busy street, with a club right next door, so outside noise meant we had to keep it shut. That left the room a bit stuffy. The two fans helped move the air around, though, and it didn’t get too hot or airless. We were two people, but with both fans running there were only enough sockets to charge one device. More outlets would help. The TV didn’t work, though we didn’t use it anyway. A few washing machines would also be useful for travelers, and the hotel could charge for each wash. That’s just a suggestion, not a must.

This is a good choice for a budget traveler spending a short time in Zurich. It’s within walking distance of Zurich HB, and the reception was very helpful. Our room and bathroom were very clean. The bathroom wasn’t attached to the room, but it was private to us and they gave us its key so nobody else could use it. We stayed one night and found it good value for Zurich, especially if you’re exploring the city. The hotel has basic amenities rather than luxury. Also, the entrance is at the back compared with where Google Maps shows it.

After 30 years of nonstop travel, this was probably the worst reception and experience I’ve had. The Balkan dad came out angry and yelling because we’d woken him up by needing to book a room. It left me running away for my life. A terrible place that doesn’t understand basic hospitality. Avoid it at all costs.
