Sorell Boutique-Hotel Seefeld Zürich

Our room was really nice, the beds were very comfortable, and having a balcony was a nice bonus. We probably got some of the best sleep of our two-week trip there. The staff were very friendly, and the walk from the train station took about seven minutes. Managing the luggage on the sidewalks wasn't too bad. The restaurant right next door was phenomenal too.

For the Christmas special, this was very good value. The room was spacious, cosy, and clean, and the extra bed and water bowl for our dog were a nice touch. We did run out of hot water in the morning, though, and that needs improving.

We felt at home throughout the week, thanks to the cheerful staff and the help we got before arriving. It was our first trip to Switzerland, and the hotel assistance made things much more comfortable. Jerome at the front desk was fantastic when we arrived and stayed available all week. The daily breakfast options were delicious, and we also had a wonderful dinner at the hotel. Many thanks to everyone at the Seefeld Sorell, especially Dustin, Sebastian and Jerome. Wonderful accommodation.

The beds were extremely comfortable, the layout was nice, and some rooms have a balcony. Zurich hotels can cost quite a bit, and this one is no exception. I regretted every time I booked somewhere below 200 francs per night, since good hotels are somewhat hard to find here. I'll definitely come back. I couldn't choose a rate without breakfast, which was underwhelming, so I'd have appreciated that option. The A/C wasn't especially powerful. During my stay it was 32/18 degrees (max day/min night); it worked fine at night, but the room could get too hot during peak summer. I was only in the room briefly during the day, though, and most people probably won't spend a summer day in their hotel room. The A/C manual says environmental regulations for the building complex limit it to reducing the temperature by 4 degrees, and I found that to be accurate.
