The Guests' House

A five-minute walk gets you to the local train for the main station, and there was free car parking too. It's an excellent base for exploring the area and very good value for Switzerland. The rooms are a good size, if slightly dated, and have all the basics, including tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is available if you want it. There aren't many facilities nearby, so it's best to eat and drink while you're out. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area.

For an expensive city, this was good value for money. The hotel is small and modern-looking, in a residential area on Zurich's outskirts. It's nice and clean, with good-sized rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. The train station is almost beside the hotel, and there's also a tram stop nearby.

Good value for the money, and if I visit Zurich again I'd consider staying here. The area is peaceful, and it's five stations from the central train station on the S10 line from platform 22. The employees were highly professional, and you can make coffee or tea in your room. The downside is that the hotel needs renovation. Once you're in the room, you can feel the stale air.

This is a very clean, functional hotel in a residential neighborhood near Zurich, though it feels tired and the rooms have seen better days. The reasonable price more than made up for that for me. Solid value for a night.
