Luis was always checking that we were doing well, and his suggestions for places to visit were great. I also got to go horseback riding on his property. The cabin was beautifully equipped, but the little extras made it memorable: the delicious honey he sells, the lovely vests his wife Nora knits, and Toto, one of their dogs, whose affection I’ll always remember. It’s the kind of place that fills your heart. Thank you so much, Luis! ☺️

It was a quiet, pleasant place, and we had a great time. The owner was attentive. There was no cable TV, which he said was because of the storm. I wish they’d told us before we arrived, especially since there was no discount for not having it. Asking about a discount got me called cheeky, haha. That’s business, I suppose, but otherwise we had nothing to complain about.

We often visit Castro and have stayed in quite a few cabins around there. This is the best one we’ve found so far. The service was excellent, and everyone was very nice.
