The owner was accommodating, and the staff were friendly and professional. The location is handy, two blocks from Plaza de Armas and 1.5 km from the beach. But it felt overpriced for what you get. Breakfast was cold, unimaginative, and there was barely anything to choose from (see photo). The rooms are very small, and the tub and shower are difficult and dangerous to get in and out of. The place needs a thorough cleaning and fresh paint. The price also didn't match what was advertised on booking.com.

We came from Argentina and found the staff very friendly. For the price, the service was excellent, though this isn't a luxury place. Parking was a real hassle: during both nights of our stay the lot was too small, so we had to use another garage.

We stayed a week, my mother and I, and found the neighborhood quiet and peaceful. Plaza de Armas is two blocks away, La Recova is about a 10-minute walk, and the Japanese Garden is nearby. Breakfast is included. The rooms were quiet, with wall-mounted electric heaters, and the beds, mattresses, and pillows were new. There was a lobby, dining area, and good parking. A great place for families, highly recommended.
