Huella Patagónica Hostel

Cyclists will love the dedicated shed for safely storing, repairing, and even boxing up bikes, with maintenance tools available. The community kitchen is spotless and so well equipped that making lunch or dinner is easy. The family-run hostal sits right in the middle of Coyhaique, and after seven weeks in Patagonia, it was easily our favorite stay. Everything was done with so much care, from the comfortable rooms and beds and immaculate bathrooms to the generous breakfast with homemade cake and bread, scrambled eggs, lots of cereals, and vegan and lactose-free milk. Gaby, her sister, and their family put real dedication into the place every day. All this for an excellent price. We can't think of anything that could be better, it truly feels like a traveler's dream!

The sisters who own and run this place are Chilena, and couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. It's clean and fairly quiet, with comfy beds, a relaxing feel, and a great breakfast. There's gated parking for a couple of cars. They recycle and compost, make their own jams, and even keep beehives on the roof to support bees. You'll love staying here!

Gaby made sure I felt welcome and was ready for the rest of my time in Aysen. My room was clean and very comfortable, and I could easily walk to any store or restaurant I needed in town. I had a wonderful stay while passing through Coyhaique.

During my extended stay, Gabby and her lovely staff did their best to make me feel at home the whole time. I looked forward to breakfast each morning, and they gave me great tips on local restaurants and things to do nearby. I plan to return to Coyhaique and stay with them again. I'm very grateful for their kindness and hospitality, and highly recommend them.
