Ecobox Lanalhue Hostel

The pool and the service were excellent, and the place itself was lovely. Phone reception depended on the carrier, and the doors were hard to close. Some days we needed the heating.

The hostess was very kind to my family and me. We came by bus, and she picked us up at the terminal, then took us to the lake at the end of our stay and back to the terminal for an affordable price. The cabins are clean, cozy, and beautifully designed, with thoughtful decor. There wasn't a lake view, but the surroundings were lovely and we felt peaceful there. I'd gladly go back.

Getting to the cabin means going over to the Villa Eliucura area, as it sits on the opposite side of the lagoon, toward the hill. Inside, the kitchen window had a bullet hole, and the small bedroom window was loose and fell off when we tried to close it. It had no screws. The pool was out of order, and nobody told us beforehand. We were told it had been dirty for months. The bathtub floor was missing tiles, and a loose piece of flooring only partly covered the cracks in the bathroom.

Patricio, the owner, is a true friend and a wonderful host. My girlfriend and I felt right at home thanks to his hospitality. Ecobox is simple and beautiful, and it was a lovely place to share and enjoy friendship.
