ibis Puerto Montt

Our room, #614, had a lovely view of the water, strand, and town, and the bed was comfortable. There was a heater, an opening window, a desk, a table, a small TV, a plastic chair, and a safe. The bathroom had shampoo and soap, and the water was hot, though the rain shower felt like a sprinkler. There was no toilet paper, so we had to go downstairs to get some; there are no phones in the rooms. Towels were small, thin, and threadbare, with no hand towels or washcloths, just an old worn floor mat towel. No kettle or other extras like a toothbrush or toothpaste either. The hall carpets were stained and worn, and there was an odor when the elevator doors opened. The cafeteria is on the third floor. Our burger and fries were good, while the free breakfast was basic and the coffee was good. They can refill your water container at the bar area on the first floor. Wi-Fi was marginal. The main entrance and sign are small and hard to spot, and the hotel is 12 miles from the airport by Uber, about $13USD. There's a local shopping area by the entrance and the main bus terminal nearby, but it's not the best neighborhood. We were just there overnight, thankfully. A security guard was posted at the entrance, though he looked bored, and the one receptionist was on a phone call for ten minutes while we waited. It seemed overpriced for what we got, and based on this stay I don't think we'd stay overnight at an All/Accor property again.
