I stay in hotels all the time for work, and nowhere has made me feel as at home as this place did. The care and cozy atmosphere are hard to beat. I enjoyed it so much, I can recommend it wholeheartedly and will definitely come back before and after the next hiking season.

The hosts had some really good restaurant suggestions in Puerto Natales and even made reservations for us. Getting into town was easy too, the front desk could call a taxi for CLP 5,000 one way. We stayed in the apartment from 12/27 - 12/31, with a little kitchen, two comfortable pull-out beds, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower. They supplied breakfast food like toast, juice, coffee, water, cakes and yogurt, and we used the meat and cheese plate to make sandwiches for a hike. The views are incredible, especially at sunset from the room. A great way to wind down, and I would recommend staying here.

After a long, tiring journey, Heliodoro's warm welcome was such a relief. He knows what a worn-out traveler needs, having traveled a lot himself. Applegren house is quiet, comfortable and inviting, with lovely treasures from his travels around the house. His tips for things to do and places to eat were spot on, and he arranged for our rental car to meet us at the airport, which helped a lot. We also had dinner with Heliodoro one evening. It was delicious and beautifully served, with a cocktail hour and tasty appetizers beforehand, plus lively, interesting conversation. Take the other five-star reviews seriously, they're right. We highly recommend Applegren House for its quiet, beautiful, comfortable lodging and warm, knowledgeable, accommodating host.

The hosts were so warm, helpful and always around, and our room was wonderful. A great place to stay. This is the only place we'll choose when we're in Puerto Natales.

A lovely place with great decor. The owner collects antiques, and the house is filled with pieces from all over the world.
