Isla Morena

A horrible hotel with awful staff.

The facilities were disappointing. The bathroom was faulty and the toilet started leaking, so we had to switch rooms that night and move all our things. Breakfast was poor too, with little bread and not much else to go with it. The staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and let us use the kitchen to prepare something.

The room was never cleaned, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, and they never fixed the heating. Breakfast was awful, and it was very expensive for such a bad stay. When we came back from a tour, the doors were open even though we’d locked them with our belongings inside. The service was terrible, and no one took responsibility for anything. That was our experience, so it’s up to you whether you want to stay here.

The room and bathroom were a good size, and reception staff were friendly. There’s also a lounge with lots of books and a breakfast area. But the room got very hot, and the thin walls let you hear everything. We’d booked a larger room, yet were given a smaller one on arrival with no reasonable explanation. They also overcharged us. It took three days to get any proposed solution, and they never called us back. We had to keep pushing for a refund and never got an answer about what we should have paid for the smaller room. Service on this issue was poor and unresponsive. For the same price or a little less, there are better hostels. We ended up moving to another place with similar features.
