Weisserhaus Hotel

This is more of a B&B than a hotel, with a great location and good value. We stayed twice during the trip, one night each time. The front desk lady was very nice, spoke good English, and explained the rules and how things worked. The rooms and amenities were very basic, and our rooms were plain cold when we arrived, even though we like it chilled. The heaters were very tepid, so warming up took time. Breakfast was very basic too, with no decent or good coffee options. The parking lot was small enough that someone could block the exit, and reception might not have a key for that guest's car. It happened on both stays, though we did resolve it. The worst part was the owner, a senior man. The first time we encountered him, at the exit, he claimed we hadn't paid for the room even though we'd arranged payment at check-in. It was plain rude. We regretted paying for the next stay in advance at check-in, since I would gladly have canceled and found another option instead of dealing with that nonsense.

Clean, simple, safe, and affordable, with a good location. The staff are very kind, serve a nice breakfast, and service the rooms every day.

It was clean and warm, and breakfast was nice, but I came away quite disappointed. Dogs barked loudly all night outside my window, so I got no sleep. The proprietor made no effort to speak any English and wasn't very welcoming. I also had to wait a long time for water to make tea, while coffee was available much sooner. Too bad if you drink tea instead of coffee.

Good value for money. The hotel is good, though breakfast could be better and the bathrooms could use refurbishing.
