Hostal Bustamante

The rate is very affordable, and there's secure parking. What makes the stay special, though, is the vintage feel of this 1920s hostel, with its wooden structure, antique furniture, and incredible decor. Staying here feels like stepping back in time. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and breakfast was delicious. If you're after modern amenities and luxury, this probably isn't the place. For the magic of the past, I highly recommend it.

Breakfast is included and fine, and laundry costs $5,000 per load for washing and drying. Be aware that some rooms don't have private bathrooms. The central location also means it gets crowded in peak season, like most places in the city center. The old wooden building has another drawback: floorboards creak whenever someone walks upstairs or along the hall, which can be annoying when you're trying to sleep. I also left flip-flops behind and came back two days later to find they'd been thrown away. They don't store forgotten belongings, and no one called to tell me.

We had everything we needed. Comfortable, lovely, and affordable 🙌🏼, with excellent service and really friendly staff.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is very good, and there's parking on the property.
