Hostel Entre Vientos

The rooftop view was good, the location was nice, and breakfast was decent. But they don’t clean properly. After a guest left, they just removed the sheets and let new guests use the room. The bedbug problem there is really serious.

I was bitten several times and later found a bedbug in my bed at night. I told the staff and they moved me to another room, but the original room stayed in use and other guests weren’t moved or warned. I didn’t see any obvious steps taken to deal with the infestation. There appear to be serious bedbug problems here, so be very cautious if you’re worried about bedbugs or keeping them out of your luggage, or consider staying elsewhere. Also, apparently you can only pay cash because their card machine isn’t working.

We planned to stay four nights in a private upstairs room, but left after two because of bedbug bites. When we reported it at reception, the response felt casual, and they didn’t seem surprised. They said they’d send someone to disinfect the room, but it didn’t seem like they were taking it seriously. I later saw reviews from days earlier and months earlier describing the same issue. The mattresses, pillows, and duvets are old and seem not to have been replaced for a long time. It’s a shame, because otherwise this could have been a nice hostel.

The hostel was clean, and the staff were friendly. I stayed in the 10-person room downstairs and found it fine. I didn’t have any issues with bed bugs.
