The friendly, positive community made it easy to feel welcome. There's also a well-equipped kitchen with what you need to cook. During our stay, two special evenings gave us the chance to taste local wines and learn to make a Pisco Sour. It was a simple, uncomplicated place, and the people were very helpful. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. If you're coming from Europe or somewhere at low altitude, remember to take pills for altitude sickness. You'll definitely feel the high altitude here.

The outdoor areas were lovely, with couches, hammocks and tables in a green, relaxing space. The rooms sleep four, which suited me, and the kitchen was very clean and well equipped. The bathroom was clean too, and gets cleaned every day. As a solo traveler, I enjoyed the staff's wine and pisco sour evenings because they helped me meet other travelers and made my stay twice as fun. The staff are super friendly, always available, helpful and fluent in English. They organize lots of activities, sell water, and suggest good restaurants and places to visit. Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in, and the best in San Pedro!

Backpackers was a pleasure to stay at while we were in San Pedro. The facilities were clean and good, and the atmosphere was great. The staff were especially kind and helpful with suggestions for things to do and see nearby. Warmly recommend it 😊.

Dani and Johanna made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and you can tell they really care about guests. They helped with everything, from sorting out tours and sharing local tips to making sure we were comfortable. The hostel has a relaxed, friendly feel, but what stood out most was their kindness and the extra effort they put in. We left feeling like we'd made friends in San Pedro, not just found somewhere to sleep. Highly recommend it for a warm welcome while exploring the Atacama!

Daniel was the best receptionist I've ever met in all my travels. I also loved the social atmosphere, where everyone could still do their own thing. People were super friendly, and they organized loads of activities.
