Ckoi Atacama

We had dinner at the Ckoi restaurant and really enjoyed it. The lodge can also arrange tours with pickup and drop-off, and there’s free water, plus tea and coffee in the afternoon. During the day we relaxed by the pool, and there’s also a jacuzzi and massage service. Feeding the hotel’s lamas with seeds from its garden was a fun treat. The many plants give the place welcome shade and make it feel like an oasis in the desert. At night, the lights make the hotel look magical, and the pool is a nice spot for stargazing. Our room was spacious, bright and clean, and the architecture has a beautiful local style. We had a very comfortable night and are grateful for the hospitality.

The restaurant is wonderful, and people say it’s the best in San Pedro. The whole property is tastefully put together, blending traditional and modern touches, and every room has its own design. Our spacious room was lovely and clean. There are 22 rooms in all. The staff made us feel welcome right away. They were friendly, professional, approachable and knew a lot about what to do around San Pedro. Really nice place in San Pedro de Atacama.

Felipe and Angelo were real troopers. They shared great advice and helped with all sorts of things, from check-in and getting Laguna Cejar tickets when the site wouldn’t work, to arranging a rental car and finding a shared cab to the airport. They deserve a raise! We loved our stay: the rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and the city centre was just a short walk away.

The bed and bathroom were a good size, but the hot water was a real problem. It would run out after 1-2 mins, and on the morning we had to get up early to travel, there was none at all, so we had to shower cold. Even in the evenings there was barely any. The place is a bit far from the main areas, and there was a bad horse smell by the entrance. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
