Hostal Lackuntur

We stayed for 8 nights in a double room and felt very safe, even while waiting for our 5am tour pick up. The hostel is a lovely place to sit and relax, and everything is well kept. Lisbeth was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It's close to town, with great access to everything and to tour pick ups. A perfect spot for my wife and me.

The only real disturbance was a few younger guests playing TikTok videos at full volume day and night, even at 5am in the communal kitchen. I ended up speaking to one of them, which wasn't what I wanted in such a peaceful place. A clear headphone rule for shared spaces would help. Otherwise, it's the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in, with spotless bathrooms, kitchen, and dorms. The friendly, attentive staff clearly care about keeping it that way. It was mostly quiet and restful after long travel days, and far more peaceful than most hostels. A real gem, highly recommended.

Lizeth was incredibly kind and lent me her hat and neck warmer when I was underprepared for the geyers tour. The service and hospitality were great. The facilities are excellent, with a clean kitchen, lovely common spaces, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the volcano. The water filter is a plus. It's about a 5-minute walk into the center.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Hostal Lackuntur. It was peaceful and just a short walk from the center of town, with spotless rooms and communal areas.
