Quechua Hotel

It’s an acceptable hotel for this town, and it’s close to the center. The Wi-Fi worked fine. Our room had a private porch and was relatively clean, though that was at least true of the second room. They seemed to have trouble regulating the power and shower temperature. Breakfast was even more disappointing than the lunch boxes: untoasted toast, a sweet drink, and a sweet cereal bar. I thought the place was overpriced. The woman was kind, but the other receptionist couldn’t be bothered to give proper tips. When we asked how to get from Calama to San Pedro, they claimed the only option was a 100$ one-way transfer. Unacceptable!

The staff were friendly and always ready to help, and the breakfast was very good. On days when we had early tours, they thoughtfully prepared a brunch box with bread, fruit, and juice. The hotel is well located in the center, close to the main street. Our room was comfortable, with a good bed and a hot shower. I’d recommend staying here.

The setting is quite unusual, with raised paths winding among trees and streams. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and the service was good. They also provided breakfast bags when needed. A perfectly fine place for a few nights in SP de Atacama 👍

The price felt pretty steep for what we got. Our room had no heating, so it was quite cold, and the Wi-Fi was some of the worst we’ve ever had in a hotel.
