It's hard to know what to make of this place. The staff were fabulous, though they tried to charge me for an extra day and I was lucky to catch it. The grounds are beautiful, tucked behind the road among lots of green trees and plants, with lovely outdoor art and trains. The rooms are another story. It seems the money goes elsewhere, because everything in them is old. The bathroom looked like it belonged in the '50s, with old tubs used as showers. Stepping out is very high and slippery, and honestly feels dangerous. The doors, bedside tables and everything else are old too. There's a chain tied to the AC control 😂. The blow dryer was wired strangely, and there was nowhere to charge my devices. Seriously. The pictures will explain.

The grounds are lovely and quiet, with a garden and pool area to relax in, and the location is great for exploring the mountains. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well. Still, it felt very overpriced for what we got. We were in a room directly above the attached restaurant on a Thursday, and the chatter downstairs kept us awake past midnight. The walls don't block much sound either: at 3:30 a.m., someone in the room below was arguing with their partner and slamming doors, which woke us. That's not the hotel's fault, and rooms facing the garden might be quieter. What really put us off was the awful breakfast at the attached restaurant, which the hotel advertises. It wasn't included in the already expensive nightly rate for a hotel in this category. We paid over CLP 21,000, almost 25 USD, for the worst breakfast we've had in Chile. The hotel should warn guests away from it or stop advertising it, and could make sure the restaurant offers better quality and value to hotel guests. What we were served was so poor and low quality that we don't want to stay there again.

I first came here years ago for corporate meetings in the hotel board rooms, but only saw the gardens yesterday at a wedding. They aren't large, but there's a variety of vegetation that adds to the design. The service and food were excellent. It's curious to find a place like this surrounded by residential buildings.

The owners and staff are lovely, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. We had a really nice time at this peaceful, quiet hotel, one of the few places like that in Santiago. The gardens are amazing and full of greenery, with lovely landscaping worth a walk around la pergola and the clay oven area.

It feels like being out in the countryside even though it's in Santiago, and the place is so peaceful. The garden is beautiful and almost magical, the rooms are very comfortable, and the owners are lovely. Excellent service too. We recommend it 100% and would book again on our next trip to chile.
