We chose this apartment hotel because it was close to family, and it’s advertised as high quality. The experience was inconsistent, and the service wasn’t great. There were plates, cups, and cutlery for two, plus a couple of pots and pans, but no spatula or anything else to stir with. There was no dish soap or cloth for washing up, and the hotel said we had to provide those ourselves. The maids washed the dishes but left them wet in the sink. Several listed amenities were missing, including an iron. The safe didn’t work, and the desk clerk couldn’t fix it. The hair dryer only worked on low and couldn’t be repaired. They provided hand soap once, and we had to ask for toilet paper several times. We were given just two towels, and when we asked for more, they said no. One day a maid left a rubber glove on the nightstand, and another day there was a dirty dish sponge by the sink. There was no maid service on Sundays, so the simple breakfast we’d paid for wasn’t provided on Monday morning. The front desk staff weren’t helpful when we raised these issues.

The building itself seems decent, but the service was terrible. Towels aren’t brought daily, there’s no iron, and housekeeping doesn’t come on Sundays. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, all the room USB ports were broken, and no one answered the reception desk from the room phone. The receptionist didn’t respond to complaints. The single beds are small, and there aren’t many other places to stay nearby. Breakfast was included, but it wasn’t worth it. The food was low quality: salami, cheese, two rolls, fruit, milk, instant coffee, cereal, and packaged juice. With trained staff, this place could be a completely different experience. As it is, service gets zero from me, and it doesn’t come close to a four-star hotel.

The apartments are nice, but the kitchen was missing some equipment and the room Wi-Fi was awful. On our first night, they gave us only one towel for two people. Breakfast was very basic for the price: two bags of cereal, a carton of milk, two juices, two apples, and a coffee and tea maker. The service was the bigger problem. When we arrived, the receptionist and the woman I assume was her boss didn’t even return our greeting. We waited a long time, and when the receptionist finally attended to us, she seemed reluctant. She never explained breakfast or where the pool was. We didn’t ask because her attitude had already been so harsh. We weren’t rude to them at any point. The woman with glasses who answers the phone was horrible with us. She calls herself a receptionist, but I wish she’d learn some customer service.

The walls are so thin you can hear everything next door. The person in adjoining room 628 played music at full volume every night. We called reception every day to ask them to turn it down. They would, but only for half an hour, then turn it right back up. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Next time we’ll go to the Courtyard or Marriott Parque Arauco. And the breakfast is a joke. They shouldn’t even offer it.

The location is away from downtown, which has its pros and cons, but the view of the snowy mountains is beautiful. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet, with a balcony, TV, sofa, table, kitchen sink, dishes, pan, electric stove, microwave, and a large fridge. Breakfast comes in a basket with boxed juice, bread, cheese, an apple, and some Sucrilhos.
