For an overnight stop before a flight, it was just about adequate. The inside of the building looked renovated and thoughtfully decorated, but our room seemed old and uncared for. The bathroom was the worst we’ve had in a 3-star hotel: the sink was clogged, the shower pipe leaked and left only a trickle of water, and the fixtures were old and rusty. We’d been told breakfast would be ready early because we had an early checkout, but the morning staff didn’t know anything about that. For the fairly high price, the stay was disappointing. On top of the booking price, we unexpectedly paid 16% tax because we couldn’t pay in dollars. How were we supposed to do that?

Our reservation was made 18 days ahead for a room for five, with a note that we’d arrive after midnight. Still, when we got there, we were told that room wasn’t available. Without asking us, they offered five single rooms and assumed we were five adults, though we’re a couple with three kids, the youngest just one year old. When we complained, they said, “We can’t do anything; if that works, fine. If not, look elsewhere.” There was nothing else available, so we ended up moving a mattress into another room to keep the children from being left alone. The staff handled it terribly, and the whole experience was awful. The rooms are very dated and smell bad, with no air conditioning or even fans. Breakfast is about as basic as it gets.

The apartment felt really cozy, and the heating was just right. The staff were attentive, and breakfast had a good variety. Everything tasted delicious. I loved it.
