We spent four nights here on our Torres del Paine trip. The location is handy, just a short drive from the Serrano gate, and the peaceful surroundings were nice for a stroll after dinner. There was plenty of parking, and we were offered a welcome glass of local wine while checking in. Staff were great throughout and shared useful tips about the park and nearby area. The best part of our room was the view. From bed, we could look out the window at the scenery. Rooms are on the small, sparse side, but comfortable and suited to a park visit. The bathroom was basic but a good size, with a sink, toilet, shower, and even a heated towel rail. Noise wasn't an issue apart from the occasional door closing. Breakfast was a basic buffet, but it filled us up for the day, and there aren't many other places to get breakfast. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice. The food was generally really good, though I wasn't very impressed by my choice the second time. As you'd expect around Torres del Paine, it is expensive. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and I'd happily stay again. There's also a full hotel and room tour on the YouTube channel @travel.stay.explore.

Valentina deserves a special thank you for how warmly and enthusiastically she helped us make the most of our time in the park. We stayed five nights and found the hospitality throughout incredible. Breakfast and dinner were good too, with a big menu that worked well for vegetarians and plenty of morning choices. Our domo felt like a little home. They're small but thoughtfully laid out, with their own patios, and closing the window kept out nearly all the sound. I wished for a bit more storage, maybe a couple more shelves, and the curved shower ceiling could be awkward for someone very tall. The wifi was strongest in the hotel, but we could sometimes get a signal even in domo #4, the furthest away. We enjoyed disconnecting, so it wasn't a problem. The setting is lovely, even outside the official TdP park. The views are stunning, and we liked walking down the river among the horses and cows. It's about ten minutes from the check-in stop, and the other Villa Serrano hotels are within walking distance, with dining options at most of them. I highly recommend Morrena Lodge.

Being close to the park was the main reason the price felt worthwhile. The public areas were attractive, with lots of wood, and breakfast was simple but fine. The rooms at Morrena were clean, modern, and nicer than those at an older hotel nearby, which we tried for one night. That other place included dinner, so it was better value. The bathrooms here felt cramped and not especially comfortable.

For what we paid, this didn't feel like good value. The room and bathroom were extremely basic, and despite booking months ahead and asking more than once for a quiet room, we were put facing a very noisy generator that ran all night. Breakfast was supposed to begin at 7, but the buffet wasn't ready then and the selection was very limited. The staff were helpful, and the room itself was clean and comfortable, with a nice view. We stayed one night while visiting Torre del Paine national park. At a different price, these issues wouldn't have bothered me so much.

We had such a good time that we definitely plan to come back. The staff were amazing, especially Patricia, Scarlett, Dayana, Denisse and Fransisca. Our guides and drivers, Jorghans and Jorge, knew the Park and its history so well. The setting is hard to beat, right by the Rio Serrano, with mountain views and horses roaming freely. The rooms were spacious and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Try a Califate Sour!
