The staff were friendly, but when I showed them the problems they seemed lost. My room was dirty, with hair on the floor and in the shower, plus bits of paper or other debris scattered around. The windows were duct-taped shut, the AC didn’t respond well, and a fallen outlet cover was lying on the bathroom floor. The sky bar, where breakfast is served, was okay and had a good view over the city. I strongly recommend avoiding the staircases, since the staff kept cleaning supplies and personal belongings there.

I tried the SkyBar on the 12th floor. The food tasted fine but was pretty ordinary, and the drinks were made mostly with cheap alcohol while costing even more than in Santiago, Chile. Service was awful. The waitress corrected my pronunciation of "Pulled Pork" without pronouncing it properly herself. For a 5 star hotel with international guests, I expected the employees to at least understand or manage English.

The riverfront room had stunning views, and the room itself was large, elegant, modern, and sparkling clean. We booked a night at Dreams after reading the reviews, and it turned out to be fabulous value. The bed was plush, and the bathroom was a treat, with multiple shower heads, a comfortable Jacuzzi bathtub, and electric blinds that let you open it to the room or close it for privacy. The 12th floor lounge and restaurant is great for a nightcap, though it can get lively. The lobby had been damaged by protesters, but the hotel was working as quickly as it could to repair it. A beautiful property.

The room was very nice and the service was good. The spa is lovely, but it gets dramatically crowded because locals use it too. Visitors get lockers, while customers have to change in their rooms and walk to the pool in their swimsuits. It’s not very comfortable, and doesn’t seem like the right setup for a 5 star hotel. Hotel customers should come before daily visitors.
