Pablo and his wife were the best part, so helpful and accommodating. The place is peaceful, clean, and the room was spacious. It's very central, with everything within walking distance. I'll definitely come back to Casa Lastra next time I'm in Valparaiso.

A small, friendly, family-run place, and very secure. Most of the guests seemed to be from Latin America. It's a newly built hostel close to Victoria square. Summer dates were already filling up by October, as they were elsewhere in Valparaiso.

Clean, but it smelled bad.

I decided not to stay because of all the stairs and because the supposed loft was split across levels, with the living area downstairs and a ladder leading up to the bed in a small space. The person in charge was kind and let me cancel flexibly. Seems fine for young couples.

There were markets, the metro, and restaurants nearby, and the accommodation was very well located. I loved our two-night stay and would happily return. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and always around to answer questions. We could be flexible with check-in and check-out, and the place seemed well equipped, with a shared kitchen, a play area, and a lovely terrace overlooking the city.
