Hostal Po

The sunlight coming through the huge skylights brightened the common area and even reached our bedroom in the afternoon. The bathrooms and kitchen were really clean, and the key system for the entrance and our room made us feel secure. We loved staying at hostal po. It’s perfectly placed for exploring the cerros, and the staff were lovely and gave us helpful tips for Valpo. They even put on a homemade pizza night. Thanks, everyone!

We got a very warm welcome from the staff, and the hostel is in a great location. Special shoutout to Diego !

I ended up staying 17 days after booking just 3. That probably says plenty about how good it felt to be there, and I’ll definitely be back. It’s especially suited to people without a strict itinerary who like shared living and meeting interesting travelers. The upstairs common area brings people together better than any hostel common room I’ve seen. The place is big enough for parties and meeting new people, yet small enough that you can get to know everyone. From check-in, when staff showed me around, it was clear they really wanted to meet and spend time with travelers. I felt at home as soon as I walked in. The location is perfect, the mattresses are new and comfortable, the showers have hot water and good pressure, and the kitchen has everything needed to cook a big meal for everyone. I don’t usually leave reviews, but Hostel Po made me want to find the words for such an incredible stay. Just be prepared for your travel plans to stretch if you decide to stay longer.

The attic common room was ideal for hanging out, cooking, and playing games. Staff and volunteers were cool, invited us to a house party, and made sure we were safe. The bunk rooms have a spacious drawer for each person. It’s exactly the kind of cozy, lively hostel you might hope to find.
