Terral Hotel - Spa

The rooftop terrace has an amazing sunset view. I liked it so much I’m going back.

The staff were incredibly kind and patient with our limited Spanish, and helped us with whatever we needed. Having a dedicated gated parking lot was nice too, and the central location is hard to beat. The rooms are spacious and pleasant, though street noise does come through. A kettle would have been a great addition for making coffee in the room, since the cafe wasn’t open on any of the three mornings we were there. The property looks a little run down, especially the rooftop, which looks beautiful online but not so much in person. The photos must be from when it first opened. It does seem like one of the nicest hotels in Vicuña, but it feels a bit dated compared with those pictures.

The service from the wait staff was top notch. They were all friendly and sweet, as well as super competent. The gardens were pleasant, the rooms massive, and the hotel itself was comfortable and sweet. I was sorry to leave. It’s just outside the town center and makes a great base for exploring Valle de Elqui, with its lovely weather, mountains, clear skies, observatories, vineyards, museums, and plenty more to do. A great spot in town, with the center an easy walk away. Very clean, and the staff were wonderful.
