The room was amazing for my first stay at an Intercontinental. Malls and the metro are about a ten minute walk away, though the location isn’t ideal for visiting the city. The service didn’t feel very premium: welcome water and juice were self-service, and nobody offered them during check-in. I got a spa voucher, but the spa still cost too much, twice the room rate.

For me, this is the best hotel in Guangzhou. They’re clear about how much they appreciate you when you’re nice. Breakfast and dinner were good, and the location worked well for visiting the Canton Fair. I was really impressed.

The location worked well for me, with business areas and city attractions easy to reach, and the Canton Fair exhibition center nearby. Everyone at the hotel was courteous, attentive, and ready to help. I liked the spacious, elegant room and its amenities, and the modern building and interiors made a strong first impression. My stay at the InterContinental Guangzhou was comfortable and enjoyable. The food was decent, though I would've liked more variety, particularly for international guests. More varied or themed dining options could make the experience even better. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it for both business and leisure trips to Guangzhou.

The service was great, and the hotel is fairly close to Canton Fair. When guests came back from the fair by shuttle, they were greeted with a performance and snacks.
