The location is excellent and the price is very cheap, but Wi-Fi sometimes cuts out completely. More than anything, the stay depends on who your neighbors are. There’s a posted no-talking rule inside the capsules, yet sound carries easily. At night I could clearly hear a couple of guys, who sounded like two Italians and an Englishman, introducing themselves and chatting. Eventually someone nearby climbed out and quietly asked them to keep it down. The capsules have a lingering foot odor that never really goes away, probably because so many people use the same tight space. Mealtimes in the shared lounge and dining area were also loud. Usually three or four Filipina ladies talked and laughed at full volume in Tagalog, making it almost impossible to relax there. The sleeping setup was the deal-breaker for me. There’s no real mattress, just a thin futon-style pad on a hard wooden board. It felt like plywood, and my back hurt within minutes. Turning over felt like lying on concrete. I also spotted a few tiny crawling bugs on the bedsheet, which killed any chance of a decent night’s sleep. The sleep quality was very poor. If you’re on a very tight budget, only need somewhere to crash for a few hours, and expect no comfort or quiet, maybe it’ll do.
The location is great, and the small bathroom was clean enough and fine to use. If all you need is somewhere to sleep and shower, it can work, but bring earplugs. To me, this isn’t a pod hotel so much as a dorm with built-in beds. A pod only has a curtain, not a door, and there’s no space for luggage. The bed is around 120 cm wide, which is quite narrow for two people. The dorm is noisy, and you can hear neighbors coughing, talking, and snoring. Lockers are too small for two medium-sized bags, so people leave their suitcases outside and put only their valuables inside.
Just finished staying here. For the price, it wasn’t that bad, and I didn’t run into hot air, rude staff, or noisy roommates. The sheets smelled, though, and the shower was dirty. I’d recommend it for one night at most.
The mattresses were so hard that sleeping was difficult, and the place was dirty, dusty, and smelled horrible. The room for two is exactly the same size as the one-person room, which feels like a scam when they charge more. I contacted the owner to explain that my severe dust allergies meant I couldn’t stay there, but got no response. I wouldn’t spend a single dollar here. If you’re reading this, book somewhere else.
My room had someone else in it for some reason. Customer service found me a new room, but its lock was broken, so I couldn’t secure it. Then at 9:30am, they cut the electricity, leaving you stuck in the capsule without ventilation. I called customer service again, but nobody picked up. Horrible experience, the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Don’t come here.
