Toronto Holidays

I arrived around 9:30 pm after booking and paying online, and was told the price had doubled. They said I'd have to pay the difference to get the room. I tried offering half the difference, but they wouldn't accept it. I ended up without anywhere to stay on my first night in a foreign country. Luckily, Agoda helped me find another place. Don't book this hotel, it's a total scam.

Maybe we just had bad luck. After our first night, we asked to move because the tap had no water, there was a bad smoke smell, the ceiling was damp, and paint was peeling off it. In the next room, paint was falling directly onto the pillow. It's cheap, and we didn't expect a perfect room, but this was too much. They also have a no-refund policy. Don't count on getting the same bed furniture as in the photos. The rooms need maintenance, then they'd be great.

It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer. This is basic, no-frills accommodation for someone after a cheap, convenient room. We thought we'd booked Toronto Holidays, and it is that, but it's also the "Temple Street" Hotel, with "hourly" rates, if that tells you something about the clientele. The staff were nice. They answered the phone and helped us find the place when we arrived at midnight. The directions were a bit off because we'd searched for Toronto Holidays instead of "Temple Street."

Kamal (5 x Location Manager), Manie (Administrative Manager) and Sapna (room cleaning service lady) did a very thorough deep disinfection of all the rooms on the 13th floor. The teamwork was so good, the floors felt clean enough to eat a meal off. I'd recommend the Toronto Group Hotels for a good night's rest at a fair price, in an authentic Hong Kong district that's conveniently located for their well supported guests.
