Our cabin was new and really nice, with a comfortable bed, a fan, and an outdoor sitting area with chairs and a hammock. The staff were very friendly, and the food was good, even for vegetarians.

The town is underdeveloped, with poor roads and cars, but that’s part of exploring this area. The hotel itself was great given the remote location and weather. We loved the greenery and surroundings, and enjoyed the food. Everyone on staff was super friendly, and the activities we booked were well organized and good quality. Thanks so much to everyone!

El Almejal has a plastic-free policy, so visitors are encouraged to take responsibility for their rubbish, especially plastic. I loved the peaceful feel, the sea, the people, and the turtles. Local people were kind and open to talking about nature, traditions, social issues, and more, and we felt safe in El Almejal and the surrounding area. It was my first trip to the Colombian Pacific, and the whole experience was fantastic. The staff were awesome, and the food was the best part. Our cottage was clean and nice, with a comfortable bed and a mosquito net on each bed so we could sleep quietly. I recommend El Almejal for a stay in Bahia Solano. I’m sure Sara and Isabella will make it the best experience of your life ☺️

The food was incredibly fresh, varied, and delicious, and we loved the biodiversity throughout and around the grounds. My wife and I spent a fantastic week at the Almejal, a warm and welcoming eco lodge in a beautiful setting. The owners hold themselves to very high conservation standards and support the local community through sustainable business. If you can handle the Pacific Ocean and high humidity, it feels like a little paradise surrounded by nearly untouched land.
