Hotel Ayenda Skall 1319

The staff are lovely and helpful. It’s right in the heart of el Centro, where most restaurants close down, but they have some good delivery options.

They’re remodeling every room, and the place feels very friendly. It’s right in the center of barranquilla, with everything nearby. A very good place.

The man who checked us in was very kind, and he told us the pool hours when we asked. We’d booked two nights because the online listing showed pool access, which was the reason for choosing the place while traveling from another city. The next day, though, the manager said we couldn’t use it. The girl in charge was rude, answering as if she were doing us a favor when we had paid. The bathroom door was damaged, and the drinks we bought were warm. They had no ice when we asked. We’ve stayed in cheaper places with excellent service and better rooms, so this was a really disappointing experience.

The area isn't great for walking around at night, but getting there by car is easy. The hotel, rooms, and service were all great.
