The staff were the one good part of the stay. They clearly care about customers, and a shout-out to Keyla and Viktor. Everything else disappointed me. The room looked like it was from the 80s, and the bathroom had crusty, flaking silicone. The shower was freezing and had no shower head, just a fixed hose. Breakfast was disgusting, with cheap overcooked eggs, fruit that seemed a week old, and watered-down orange juice. Also, there's no pool included. You have to pay for it.

Awful stay. The rooms are small, dingy, and dated, and the shower gives you only a trickle of cold water. Breakfast was nearly inedible, and they added bogus extra charges at checkout. I've stayed in better hostels. No way is this a three-star hotel. Avoid!

The price is very reasonable, and the staff are courteous and provide good service. Monterrey is a convenient base near El Prado, between the city's higher-end northern area and the working-class neighborhoods to the south.
