Apartahotel Barú - Usaquén

I had a great stay. The rooms were clean and very nice, and the bed was soft. The owner communicated well. It cost a little more than the other places I stayed in Colombia, though maybe that was just Bogotá. Still, I'd highly recommend it.

They didn't honor my reservation for the room I booked, then wanted 25% more for the alternative. The place was overpriced and not clean. I can't understand the positive reviews. Look elsewhere, and don't believe them.

The noise made it impossible for us to sleep, and my girlfriend and I ended up leaving in the middle of the night. You can hear people talking, footsteps, doors, and echoes between the studio apartments because the walls aren't sturdy or soundproof. The street-facing units are especially bad, with nearby bars, motorcycles, cars, and general street noise. When I told the host, he called it extremely strange and said the noise was normal and not a problem to him. The studio also wasn't clean or hygienic when we arrived. Although they advertise internet, none of the three or four networks worked properly, so we had to use mobile data for work. We chose the place based on the host's advertised features. Please don't stay here, even though it's only a few blocks from the Cardiovascular Center. False advertising!
