Apartamentos Los Alcázares

The worst part was having no hot water for a shower. I went to the front desk, and the woman tried it for a couple of minutes before saying that was the hottest it got. I had to shiver in cold water and could barely shower. When I arrived with my booking, they first said there wasn't a room available and tried to charge me 15 mil more for another one. I accepted, but the bed in that more expensive room was smaller than a single bed. After I insisted, they gave me a normal one. That part wasn't important to me, I know they want to make more money, but I can't tolerate no hot water. Stay away from this place!

Mateo made sure our comfort was his priority, and from arrival we felt like part of the family. Hotel Alcazares is in Barrio Unidos, with shops, restaurants, and plenty more around it. Make staying here a priority when you plan your trip to Bogotá.

There are unique paintings throughout the hotel, all painted by the owner's father, who is an artist. The owner, Mateo, speaks English and Spanish, is very accommodating, and gives excellent service. He knows Bogota really well, so ask him about things to do. He can point you toward horseback riding, motocross dirt biking, parachuting, paragliding, fine dining, nightlife, and cultural and historical sites. The staff are great too. The location is awesome, and for what you get, it's pretty much the best price in Bogotá. It's also the only hotel in Bogota with complete suites that have a kitchen and living room.

The staff are great, and the rooms are modern, clean, and excellent. Prices are good, and the location works well for visiting the beautiful city of Bogotá. I highly recommend this hotel.
