The upstairs has more of a hostel feel, while downstairs feels like being in the owners' home, so you can choose the atmosphere you prefer. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect, and it took a little effort to find the place, but they made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. The owners treat you almost like family. There are warm beds, hot showers, a clean kitchen, a TV, and a gorgeous dog to play with.

A brilliant mom and pops hostel, with kind, helpful people all around. It's right by a mini amphitheater where locals gather to drink corn beer, and the alleys have AMAZING GRAFFITI. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a great place to stay in Bogota.

The owners were kind and really helpful, and I loved the hot chocolate at breakfast. My room was clean, though quite small, and my dorm's top bunk had no ladder. There wasn't much of a social atmosphere, but I still had a nice stay.

A friendly family runs this small, well-located hostel in candelaria. The breakfast was good, and the showers had nice warmth and pressure. There's a fast computer, a little TV area, and an upstairs patio. Best of all, the fluffiest german shepherd was just waiting to be petted.

La Candelaria is a lively neighborhood, and this hostel puts you right in the middle of it, with eateries, attractions, and essentials just steps away. The family who runs it are lovely, and it gets especially lively at night beside Chorro de Quevedo, when students from the nearby university gather, particularly on Friday nights. If you're staying in Bogota, especially in La Candelaria, I highly recommend making this your base. I still miss Herardo, one of the owners. What an amazing guy. If you see this, check out my photo so you remember me. I hope we meet again one day.
