HAB Hotel

The location is nice, but the Hab Hotel was a terrible experience for us. We had a 3 pm check-in and didn’t get our room until 6:30pm. Staff kept saying it would only be a little longer, but the wait ended up being 3.5 hours. Service was painfully slow, staff didn’t seem willing to help, and they repeatedly lied and failed to set expectations. Even getting a drink at the bar could mean waiting an hour. Other reviews seem to mention the same recurring problem. I wish I’d read them before booking. I was highly disappointed, and this place sucks. Do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs.

It’s functional and just fine, but the rooms are quite small, with tiny windows that let in little sunlight. I could hear noise from other rooms. I was on the third floor, and carrying my luggage up was a bit of a challenge since there’s no elevator. The closet is ridiculously small, more like half a closet, and the hallways are very dark.

The place is nice and the location is okay, though it’s right beside a run-down area where it isn’t clear whether walking around is safe. My few days there were a mostly negative experience. The staff situation really worked against the business: they were rude, unavailable, and unwilling to help or even give us food, always for one reason or another. We left on bad terms after receiving a bill that was almost impossible to understand. We were overcharged, with a false promise of some complicated reimbursement. I’d definitely advise finding somewhere else.

The neighborhood has lots of restaurants, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Even the valet parking lady out front went beyond expectations. The hotel, rooms, and gym all have an art deco style. It was nice and quiet, the bed was comfy, and the food and drinks were quite good. Nothing to complain about.
