Hotel Santiago Plaza

All six of us, including the kids, had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Santiago. Our original reservation had been canceled when we arrived in Bogotá, and the taxi driver kindly called the hotel for us. We got there quickly and were shown a clean, bright room with two king beds and a private bath, which we took. The staff made it feel like staying with family and friends. Every one of them was kind, hospitable, friendly, and professional, and they made the stay wonderful for my family. The beds were comfortable. The showers get boiling hot at night, though less so in the morning. That was okay because the delicious included breakfast, cleanliness, service, and hospitality made up for it. It's a nice neighborhood, and the walk to the embassy is fast, with four playgrounds along the way and a place to exercise. There are restaurants within walking distance, and Gran Estación mall is a nice walk with great stores. I'd gladly stay again when needed. I didn't give it full stars because I've stayed at 5-star hotels and Hotel Santiago simply doesn't have those amenities. Still, its hospitality, service, kindness, and friendliness rate more than five stars for me. Dios le bendiga.

The customer service was trash, and this is probably the worst hotel I've stayed in. Don't stay here. You can find much better hotels for the same price or even less.

Bedbugs in the rooms made this a disgusting place. I spent the whole night suffering and scratching a bite until it bled.

It's noisy, there's no hot water in the shower, and the upper floors don't have wifi. The problems just keep going.
