Hotel Tesla

The price was around 360,000 for the most complete package, and the experience didn’t feel worth that. The jacuzzi had reused decorations with awful petals, and the sauna had no essential oils, so it didn’t deliver what I expected. I went with my partner on February 3rd. Although I arrived 20 minutes before my 3:00 appointment, they didn’t see me until after 3:10, and the service ended half an hour early, at 5:30, despite being advertised as three hours. The massages were very basic and not relaxing. The bamboo stick part amounted to a few taps on my skin, and the full body massage lasted less than 10 minutes. They filled time by wrapping me in plastic, supposedly for opening pores, but it fell far short of expectations. I have nothing against the place itself, but what they offer doesn’t justify the cost. It was a really bad experience.

Breakfast was the one thing that went smoothly: it arrived hot, on time, and tasted great. Dinner was tasty too, but came cold. The rest of our Hotel-Spa visit felt poorly organized, starting at reception, where they showed us the menu on a crumpled sheet. Our room had a damaged bathroom lock and old grayish linens, almost yellow. The massages were somewhat relaxing, but cleanliness was terrible. There were clumps of hair on the bathroom floor, and the jacuzzi water was dark and nearly cold. They offered us wine, but poured barely enough to cover the bottom of the glass.

I wouldn’t go back. The building shakes a lot, and the facilities need proper cleaning and maintenance. When my daughter and I arrived, the staff weren’t very welcoming and handed us a menu on a crumpled, old sheet of paper. The room had very yellowed or gray sheets, and the bathroom lock was broken. The massages were decent, though I’ve had better. The shower drain was full of hair. The food was okay, but dinner was served almost cold.

The room was cramped and had worn furniture, a bed that creaked whenever I moved, and a TV with neither satellite nor local channels. The service was disappointing from the start. There was no water, so they brought up a bucket of cold water and a Coke for me to shower with. When I declined the bucket, the staff member got annoyed and rudely said I was wasting her time. At PamperspaBogota and Hotel Tesla, they also made me leave the jacuzzi before my time was up, even though the water was almost cold and there was no soap. The spa had poor lighting, and the women giving massages showed little skill. They mostly just placed the tools, like the bamboo stick, and the massage lasted under 15 minutes. Food was cold, and they took a long time to respond to messages. They even asked for a tip in front of my partner, although the visit was meant to be an anniversary surprise.
