The windows were covered in condensation, and there was no ventilation. Wet clothes wouldn’t dry in the room. It was cold, so we asked for a heater, since there’s no temperature control. There was a strong chemical smell, and the damp carpet was so dirty we didn’t want to walk on it barefoot. Water leaked in the bathroom, so we had to put a towel down every day. The cleaner never reported it. Construction was still going on, with hammering and noise from early morning through the afternoon. The receptionist didn’t speak any English, and at first we thought we’d come to the wrong place. To get to park 93, you have to cross a seriously dangerous road right outside the hotel.

I had a horrible stay at this badly managed hotel and wouldn’t stay or recommend it. The modern spaces and nice amenities couldn’t make up for rude, dismissive staff, poor communication, and serious safety concerns. I tried several times to cancel my reservation, but the hotel refused unless I paid exorbitant fees. The rooms are tiny, with no ventilation, and feel like greenhouses. Rooms near the Main Street are incredibly noisy from 6am-9pm. The bathrooms are also tiny, only big enough for one small person at a time. The kitchen has an odd induction stove that sometimes doesn’t work and often overheats. Cleaning was hit or miss: sometimes they only made the bed, leaving the counters and bathroom untouched. Hand towels and bath mats would disappear, and I had to ask repeatedly for replacements. The water was shut off several times, the electricity kept going on and off, and I had trouble with the refrigerator. The gym only had one set of free weights, and the only weight machine was broken for 3 weeks during my stay. The pool was heated, but the area around it was freezing, so I didn’t see anyone using it. The restaurant food was good, but service was slow because there was only one chef. Food took forever, and sometimes the chef didn’t show up or arrived late, leaving no breakfast. The restaurant staff were rude and unhelpful. The building is a disorganized mess, managed by different entities for Airbnb rentals, long-term renters, and hotel reservations. Staff didn’t seem to know how to help, and the receptionist was often unaware of what the other managers were doing. There was no communication among management, employees, and the front desk. I messaged the hotel management’s official WhatsApp and often got no reply. When someone did respond, the staff changed a couple of hours later, so I had to follow up or explain things again. The people managing WhatsApp had no customer service skills and weren’t nice. Staff and security were rude and dismissive, and I heard conflicting information about breakfast, amenity hours, and service costs. The location is loud and busy, and it was hard to get an Uber or taxi at night. I didn’t feel safe. Two shootings happened outside the hotel during my stay, and one left a bullet hole in the front door for the rest of my stay. Random people came and went all day, while security didn’t seem to monitor them.

We booked 28 nights at Icon100 (Unique Mine), and it turned out to be impractical for a longer stay. The modern design and tasty restaurant food initially impressed us, but the experience fell well short. The room looked nice in photos, though it wasn’t spacious, and the bathroom was tiny. The online description should make that clearer. We wanted to cook, but asking for extra kitchen supplies got us just one extra cooking spoon. There was only one water glass for the two of us, too. The kitchen looked fancy but wasn’t practical. A couple of times the towels smelled strongly of chlorine. Communication was a problem from check-in. Security didn’t seem to know who was arriving, and there was a language barrier. The man who checked us in looked professional, but seemed to answer our questions with a smile and a fib. We had to ask two, three, sometimes four times to get basic information. He said cleaning was once every three days, then twice, but it turned out to be weekly on Wednesdays. Trash was also taken weekly, not every few days like in most hotels. We needed four tries to get a straight answer about laundry. There seemed to be a million unwritten rules, and we had to figure things out as we went. Noise from the highway was constant. The windows and walls didn’t block the sound, so we could hear everything. The heated pool was surrounded by a freezing area, and I didn’t see anyone using it. The co-working space was tiny, with room for maybe five people at most. The bench and chairs got uncomfortable after a couple of hours, and finding a seat was difficult. The hotel looks nice, but maybe it would be okay for a night or two. For anything longer, I’d steer clear.

The view was the hotel’s one positive. The room was very small and had no ventilation, AC, or fan, and the windowless bathroom stayed humid. The windows didn’t block sound, so street noise woke me from 5AM. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, with yellow stains on the toilet. The hotel charged 19% extra as a tax for being Colombian, without mentioning the charge on the Booking website or at check-in. That felt completely dishonest, and the customer service was poor.

The reception staff were nice, but my dealings with the people from Wynwood were terrible. They didn't seem to care about guests and lied to me on the phone, which was really disappointing. Construction is still going on and it's very loud. The windows are filthy and don't shut properly, so highway fumes and noise get in. There's no ventilation.
