Hotel La Fontana

The staff really made our visit to ESTELAR La Fontana Hotel special. Erwin, the hotel service and baggage attendant, helped us with our room and food choices, including recommendations at Maki Bar. He was a great guy and clearly loved his job. Felipe made excellent margaritas and martinis, and his personality was a 12 out of 10. Christopher was quick and efficient with us and his other customers, and we enjoyed talking with him. Carolina was gracious and warm while providing great service. At breakfast in the hotel café, Angela and Joe were personable, kind, and attentive. The front desk team were outstanding as well. The location is beautiful and convenient, with restaurants and coffee spots nearby and Unicentro Mal about 100 yards away. We could walk everywhere. We bought clothes at Unicentro and had them hemmed and altered at Marta's, across the street from Unicentro Mall. Great service and prices there. We also attended mass at the small, beautiful Catholic Chapel in the hotel plaza, alongside hotel guests from around the world. The gym was the best equipped of any hotel I’ve used during my 27 years of visits to Bogotá, with more weights and machines. My wife and I had one of our most outstanding stays here. I highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.

We found the hotel quiet at night and good value, and check-in went smoothly. Our room was comfortable and clean, the staff were welcoming and helpful, and the location was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.

I really liked the room, and the staff were very friendly. On my last day, though, I started feeling ill and called the front desk. Erwin and the receptionist, Meila, were very professional and kept checking in by phone to see if I felt any better. They even sent tea for my pain. I’m very grateful to both of them for paying such close attention to my health.

The grounds are spacious and pleasant for a little walk in the evening, and the area felt completely safe. The hotel service was excellent, with helpful, courteous and attentive staff. Breakfast was very nice and complete, the room service menu was good, and the Italian restaurant served excellent food.
