Masaya Bogotá

After two months at Masaya, I can say it’s one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. I’d recommend it for a short visit or a longer stay in Bogotá if you want to experience the city, meet people, and feel at home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️🙏 The location in the heart of La Candelaria made it easy to get to historical sites, restaurants, nightlife, and public transport. Even in such a lively area, there was a nice balance between activity and rest. The common spaces made it easy to meet people from around the world, work remotely, or simply relax, with a vibrant but still comfortable and respectful atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed with genuine hospitality and professionalism. The place is clean, beautifully designed, and full of character. A special thank you to Paula, Natalia, Luisa, and Hugo. Their kindness, upbeat energy, and willingness to help made my stay unforgettable. They made it feel like a family and helped every guest feel seen, safe, and at home. It really became a second home for me.

The dorms were really comfortable, with lockers for valuables and dark curtains around each bed so you could rest with a sense of privacy. The showers were lovely and had hot water, and breakfast was so good. The hostel is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Free events make it a great place to meet people. I had so much fun at the salsa class, and beer pong on Halloween was a great way to meet other travelers. I’d recommend staying here 100%.

There were plenty of museums and tourist spots nearby, plus bars and places to eat, and the location felt safe with a good atmosphere. The rooms were clean and spacious, with blinds for privacy on each bunk and lots of storage. The walls were a little thin and the room a bit bright, so I’d bring earplugs and an eye mask. The kitchen setup was basic but adequate. No other complaints. The staff were really friendly and always available when I wanted advice. I’d definitely recommend this hostel in Bogotá.

Luisa and Paula were so kind, friendly, and ready to help. Luisa’s recommendations for restaurants and places to visit nearby really made my trip better. My stay was wonderful. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed to relax, and breakfast was delicious with a great variety.
